HISTORY OF VARANSI
The oldest inhabited city of India, which is a famous city of Uttar Pradesh state, is situated on the banks of the river Ganges. This city is world famous for its ghats. The reason for this city being famous

There are four holy pilgrimage sites related to Gautam Buddha – Kushinagar, Bodh Gaya, Lumbini and Sarnath. Sarnath is the holy place where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon. You can also visit Chandraprabha Wildlife Sanctuary, which is known for Asiatic lions, about 70 km from Varanasi.
